Whether you’re new to the GC role or a seasoned veteran, your leadership matters.
Lawyers aren’t taught leadership at law school (or much in private practice), but as GCs, leadership is crucial! So, how do GCs grow into effective leaders?
At the Workgroup Legal Conference in Leeds on the 10th October we hosted a panel discussion that explored this hot topic and generated a lot of discussion.
GCs surveyed before the conference said…
- Only 21% had a ‘good’ amount or ‘lots of’ leadership training
- 81% can only ‘sometimes’ influence the direction of the business
- 77% think that the senior lawyer should also be the ethical leader
We therefore wanted to continue the conversation as it is such an important topic.
Clarion Partners, Matthew Hattersley and Esther Kirwan, will use the content and output of the panel discussion as the basis of the discussion and will be joined by Mark Neath, a leadership training expert.
