Alan started his journey as a music journalist and commercial film-maker. He has worked across the UK and internationally, holding senior customer experience, sales and loyalty marketing positions with businesses as diverse as Lloyds (Black Horse Ltd), Hitachi Credit UK PLC and EMI.
Alan spent 7-years in Executive Director roles at the Institute of Directors, including regional and international membership engagement, marketing content and events. At the IoD he was a core member of the team that drove a £5 million turnaround, bringing into the organisation considerable membership and commercial income growth.
Alan is a descendant of two family businesses; one in the leisure industry in his native Cornwall, and another a London-based property, construction and architectural firm.
