Alistair is a Non-executive Chairman of Macphie Ltd, a food ingredient manufacturer and Chairman of Glenbervie Management Ltd Farming, a property and energy business.
Alastair joined the family businesses in 1987, became Managing Director in 1994, and Chief Executive Officer in 1996. Currently the business is in the 3rd Generation of family ownership, passing to 4th. Macphie Ltd became BCorp certified in 2016. He currently serves as Lord Lieutenant of Kincardineshire
